Dubizzle will be integrating two key features of Internet Explorer 9; these are the ‘pinning’ and ‘jump list’ features. These add-ons are designed to allow Dubizzle users to access and manage their activities more quickly and will create an online networking platform where users will also be able to interact with each other.
“What makes Dubizzle different is the user experience, so anything that improves that interaction is welcomed. Partnering with Microsoft and IE9 means we can offer an enhanced streamlined experience to users through our sites as we continue our expansion across MENA,” said Dubizzle co-founder J.C. Butler.
The ‘pinning’ feature on Internet Explorer 9 is designed to allow users to have one-click access to Dubizzle.com by pinning the site as an icon to their taskbar, start menu, or desktop.
The ‘jump list’ feature is designed to allow Dubizzle users to place an ad on the site, for example, with a single click.
Users will now also be able to check Dubizzle’s latest news via the taskbar jump list which provides a direct link to the Dubizzle Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The jump list is also designed to allow users to store a history of their activity on the site.
“Microsoft has a history of working with cutting-edge internet properties and other online businesses in developing tailored, innovative solutions to specific needs. As the poster children for online entrepreneurship in the region, we’re delighted that the team at Dubizzle has recognized the inherent value proposition in IE9′s custom features. Innovation is a touchstone for both of our companies and IE9 is a perfect illustration of how we put that innovation into action to benefit businesses and users alike,” said Samer Abu-Ltaif, regional general manager of Microsoft Gulf.
