Shopping for a vehicle in Edmonton just got easier.
Autonet.ca, a Canadian automotive leader in print and online, is partnering with the Edmonton Sun to launch a local site featuring exclusive vehicle news, reviews, comprehensive used and new car listings, and extensive new vehicle information.
The new site — at edmontonsun.com/autos — is part of a national plan that will see exclusive and extensive automotive content in six of Sun Media’s major urban markets including Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, London, Ottawa and Winnipeg.
The new sites offer extensive and unique research, shop and compare capabilities locally.
“I am thrilled to deliver a local Autonet.ca experience to visitors of the sun.com websites,” says Autonet vice-president Stefan St-Laurent.
“The Sun Media websites are trusted local sites and leaders in delivering news, sports, information and entertainment to their readers every day. Providing a local automotive experience powered by Autonet.ca content was a natural extension.”
Readers and advertisers are already familiar with Autonet.ca as a regular weekly special section in the newspaper.
“We’re very excited to offer even more localization and choice to automotive dealers and provide complete multi-media exposure opportunities to our automotive business partners,” said St-Laurent.
Local visitors will be offered a complimentary industry newsletter, bringing the hottest vehicle information directly to a user’s desktop, and the option to follow the local automotive scene on Twitter and Facebook.
“There’s something for everyone,” said St-Laurent. “News, reviews, extensive local dealer inventory and much more. We have it all.”
