Hand Me Downs: Working Moms website

A new online service provides convenience and affordability in one handy location. Launched in late 2008, Hand Me Downs is an online classified website created by moms for moms. Whether you are looking for clothing, shoes, toys, books or furniture, chances are good someone else doesn’t need it any longer. Buy, sell, donate or give away “gently used” second-hand items from the comfort of your own home.

Regular classified listings are free while premium listings are not. Transactions are between buyer and seller. All items must be in good condition – no rips, stains, missing pieces, etc. The mom-friendly site also includes a “Mom Police” service. If you find a listing that is inappropriate, flag it. Besides individual items, childcare services, contests, classes and job classifieds are also available on the site.

By cleaning out your closet, and recycling those unused items, you’ll be saving or making money and helping out other moms. Hand me Downs – a win-win for all!
