In attempt to help its readers who are out of work, The Johnstown Breeze will begin running free “employment wanted” classifieds.
“It seems every week we hear new stories about people in Johnstown and Milliken who have been laid off from their job, or who continue to have trouble finding work,” Breeze Publisher Lesli Bangert said. “This is something we realized we can do to help.”
Ads will run in the Thursday print edition of The Breeze, as well as in the paper’s free shopper The Trade Wind, which is distributed to Johnstown, Milliken, Platteville, Gilcrest, LaSalle, and Evans. The ads will also be posted for the week on the paper’s Web site, www.johnstownbreeze.com.
Ads will be limited to 35 words. There is no charge.
“If we all work together, we can make it through this,” Bangert said. “We appreciate the continued support of the communities, and want to do something to give back to the communities.”
