Online classifieds and community portal Dubizzle.com has announced plans to extend their offerings across digital platforms following rapid growth in both user traffic and content listings in Kuwait.
Dubai, June 20, 2011: MIH Internet, a wholly-owned division of the South Africa headquartered media group Naspers Ltd, has announced a new strategic partnership with the region’s leading online classifieds and community website Dubizzle.com. 
Dubizzle.com, the leading free classifieds and community website for users in the Middle East and North Africa, participated in the ArabNet “Shift Digital Summit”, the largest gathering for the Arab digital and technology industry from March 23-25 2011. During the summit, J.C. Butler, co-founder of Dubizzle.com was a panelist in a workshop titled: Building Local Content and Communities.
UAE-based online classifieds site, Dubizzle, has teamed up with Microsoft Gulf to improve its user experience by integrating the new features of Internet Explorer 9 into its website.
Classified websites in the Middle East are reporting sharp increases in advertising revenue as clients seek to target consumers more specifically.
The Dubai-based site said 28 percent of the more than 230 ads offering BlackBerrys for sale had been posted in the last three days, compared with 22 percent of iPhone classifieds during the same period.

The Dubai-based start-up, which attracts around 2.5 million visitors and 34 million page views a month, is in the final stages of building an Arabic-language site to pave the way for its regional expansion.
