Honda Motor Corp.'s campaign for its new CR-Z car features the hybrid vehicle in some colorful roadside billboards that can't be seen from a freeway. The ads are on display in Facebook Inc.'s virtual game "Car Town," as Honda advertises on the site for the first time this week. The game, which allows users to collect and customize cars, has 3.1 million users.

58.com Second-Round Funding Reaches USD 15 Mln

Chinese online classifieds site 58.com announced today that its second-round funding, mainly from Doll Capital Management (DCM) and SAIF Partners, totaled USD 15 mln. CEO Yao Jinbo did not reveal the company’s new equity structure following the investment, but said that 58.com has retained control over the company, and that the funds raised will be mainly used towards expansion in second- and third-tier cities nationwide.

TowPartners announced today that it has fully deployed a new free classifieds website for the towing industry. The classifieds can be accessed through the www.towPartners.com website and are also located at www.towAds.com. Ads for trucks include many features and the system allows photo posting and more at no cost to the buyer or the seller. Tow trucks and other towing and wrecker equipment can be sold on the site using the free ad service.

Last week, eBay held a meeting to announce its roadmap of growth plans through to 2011. The company said that its eBay Marketplaces business is expected to achieve revenues of $5 billion to $7 billion in 2011 with a continued shift toward more fixed price sales and a smaller online auction business.
